milky tea

Have you ever noticed how milky tea does this really pretty thing if you walk away and forget to drink it?

  1. I count on you...to help me notice the things I miss.

In my travels I occasionally run across publications, usually in the "free" section of the lobbies of libraries, that I've never seen. The other day I chanced upon one about yachts that was targeted toward billionaires. It had lots of pictures of various interiors, but what caught my attention was the distinction between whether they had one or two helicopter decks.

I began pondering how to reach these people thinking of the art - this was last year and I was thinking of working with Scott Johnson (http://scottjohnsonworks.com/ - Assoc Prof at Colorado College & Dept chair, but lousy website) -- I could sell 'em.

Then, the other day, Kristen and I got to confabbing about a meetup in Utah later this Spring. We were going round and round about how many vehicles we would need, her camper, my Phoebe, the Panamera (Porsche) for Edmond, her husband, another vehicle for her daughter and grand-daughter who will be along on the trip -- when Kristen said, "I think a helicopter would be the answer." I immediately began thinking back to the yachts and cogitating on how maybe I could borrow one of theirs....helicopters, not decks.

And then, you know, I see a post like today's and it all falls away. And I wish I liked milky tea. But Kristen has milky tea every morning. And next time we're together, (if that should ever happen again; we've sworn it won't) I'll think of you and keep an eye on her tea.

    Thanks!
