another hit of tipsy elephant

Mozart’s Horn Concerto #4 is currently my favorite classical piece.  I have been taking tiny breaks at work where I find a quiet spot and take about 4 minutes to listen to this song because it puts me back in harmony with myself.  If the footsteps of an elephant made a trumpet noise then a blundering elephant would sound a little like this song, the violins eluding to the fact that the elephant probably needs to stop slurping up the schnapps.

After I listen to this song I'm usually in a glorious mood for about 4 hours until the elephant's footsteps grow dim within my pulse.  Then there I go, sneaking off for another hit of tipsy elephant.

Well, Hello There

After eating a glorious breakfast of cinnamon buns with Robert in a cramped cafe, Robert went to work and I let the dogs out before making a cup of tea and retreating to my writing room.  After turning on the Keurig I came back outside to let the girls in and they came all the way to the porch before stopping at the steps and looking at me intently.  They wanted a walk and they didn't care about writing poems.  Frankly I wanted to take a walk too, but my rule on writing days is simple.  I give writing my full attention until I am poemed out or have nothing to give.  And then I can goof off.

But today, Rose and Ella simply wouldn't take no for an answer.  So we took a stroll, and naturally we stumbled upon some poetry.
